SUMMARY
Is responsible to work with new and existing customer’s engineers in a technical sales role. This person must have a good working knowledge of cable, wire, harness’s and connectors. Able to read and understand blueprints a must. Must have ability to travel regularly to customer’s locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Take on tasks assigned by Director of Sales & Marketing or New Business Team Manager.
Project management skills needed to be able to take small engineering orders and working with the NBT is able to complete, test and ship product.
Ability to work well in cross-functional departments with Engineers, Purchasing, Planners, Assemblers, and Quality personnel both internally and externally.
Responsible for growing sales at existing as well as new customers by persuading them at all levels to purchase new products from JIT.
Looks for product simplification and standardization for ease of manufacturing and cost savings.
Represents company at trade shows and meetings to promote product.
Coordinates work with the assistance of Account Managers to ensure on-time delivery and quality of product.
Able to look at customers blue prints and make suggestions on wire sizes, types, connectors and breakouts.
Ability to read, understand and “red-line” drawings to make improvements.
Read print notes and make suggestions on “industry standards” such as cut backs, tolerances, and labeling requirements.
Set and submits travel calendar for month with Director of Sales & Marketing.
Establishes sales quotas, and goals that align with department’s goals and company budgets.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Associates Degree (AS) from two-year college or university; or have four to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints, work instructions, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to use MRP system to enter quotes sales orders, and routers. Ability to run reports, track orders and create bill of materials in MRP system. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and Engineers. Need to have good Microsoft word, and Excel skills to be able to analyze and present data to internal and external customers.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY - The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
